This summer, archaeological research resumes on the sector of the “Quartier des Artisans” (= craftsmen’s quarter), near the P2 South gate car park on the southern edge of the plateau. These excavations focus on re-examining the main access to the fortified Gallic city and may unveil new aspects of the daily life of the populations who lived on the Gergovia plateau at the end of the Iron Age.
From the guided tour platform overlooking the excavations, discover the latest archaeological news of the site thanks to a registered tour guide (Guided tour in French language).
