Family tour-investigation: In the footsteps of the Gergovia archaeologists

Guided tour of the Gergovia archaeological digs
This summer, archaeological research resumes on the sector of the “Quartier des Artisans” (= craftsmen’s quarter), near the P2 South gate car park on the southern edge of the plateau. These excavations focus on re-examining the main access to the fortified Gallic city and may unveil new aspects of the daily life of the populations who lived on the Gergovia plateau at the end of the Iron Age. From the guided tour platform overlooking the excavations, discover the latest archaeological news of the site thanks to a registered tour guide.

“The Gergoviotes” Philosophical sessions
Is courage necessary to resist? A vast philosophical question that we invite you to ponder during this new visit-workshop. Accompanied by a registered tour guide and a philosopher, this unique visiting experience will take you on the trail of the exhibition “The Gergoviotes, when archaeological students became Resistance fighters (1940-1951)”, to explore the history and image of heroes. Gallic Festival of Lugnasad
Come and celebrate summer during the Gallic Festival of Lugnasad! On this occasion, we invite you on a musical journey to discover ancient instruments and the lives of musicians of the past. A bard from the historical reenactment association Gallia Musica will welcome you with the sounds of the Gallic lyre, the Roman sistrum, and the Greek auloi to present the history of these melodious accessories and the musical atmospheres of ancient peoples.

Corent theatrical guided tour: Living like Gauls, what if it was the future?

Corent archaeology and wine discovery tour
This original guided tour combines both a presentation of the archaeological site of Corent, characterized by heavy wine imports and consumption in Gallic times, and the development of the viticulture sector from Roman times to present day.
