On the emblematic Plateau of Gergovia, the Gergovia Museum invites you into the world of the Ancient Gauls and the clash of arms between Vercingétorix and Caesar.

 

During the spring break (from April 6th to May 5th, 2024), the Gergovia Museum is open every day from 1 PM to 6 PM.

About us

Located on the legendary Gergovia Plateau in the heart of the Auvergne, the Archaeological Museum of the Battle of Gergovia deals with the historical battle between Julius Caesar and the Gallic warlord Vercingetorix.  Come and explore the 600 m2 interactive exhibition with its various archaeological artefacts, multimedia presentations and reduced-scale and real-life models.  Are you ready for an adventure?
